WSHE (www.ahe.edu.pl) from POLAND AS A PROMOTING & COORDINATING INSTITUTION is involved in the whole realisation process (understood as both: involvement in methodology & programmes contents' related work and ICT tools development) being simultaneously the project manager(1ST + 2ND + 3RD COMPONENT OF THE E-STUDY PLATFORM but with the special focus on UP-TO-DATE CONTENT OF THE STUDY, MAINLY REGARDING E-GOVERNMENT AND E-BUSINESS ISSUES). The content will be mainly prepared by the Academic staff of Polish Virtual University (www.puw.pl) also established at AHE.

 

Main activities of WSHE (Wyższa Szkoła Humanistyczno-Ekonomiczna w Łodzi) - the Academy of Humanities and Economics (AHE) in Lodz are focused on:

-         Pedagogical activities (almost 18 000 students) in the form of bachelor, master and post-graduate studies on the following faculties: Pedagogy, Polish Philology, Computer Science, Graphics, English Philology, German Philology, French Philology, Journalism and Social Communication.

-         Scientific research financed from own and external sources

-         Seminar activity

-         Organisation of national and international conferences

-         Publishing activity

Apart from the main activity WSHE is a significant institution of persistent adult education (life long learning) providing numerous courses and training on various topics.

Academy is both a Co-ordinator and partner of:

-         Projects financed by the European Union (www.projects.pl) - Jean Monnet, Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates (Erasmus, Minerva, Lingua, Grundtvig, Action 6.1.), JOINT ACTION, PHARE.

-         Projects regarding unemployment prevention and alleviating its negative consequences

-         Educational-social programmes

Academy co-operates with the local city council, authorities of Lodz Province, provincial and administrative units, state public employment agencies and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and with the National Employment Agency.
