Project description
The final product of the project will be the e-study platform
understood as a system (organisational structure) of three combined components:
1.
Innovative methodology & organisation of educational process
2.
Up-to-date content of the study
(mainly regarding e-government & e-business issues)
3.
ICT supporting tools
The E-STUDY
PLATFORM will be in the form of a web-site, CD-ROMs based on designed
software along with printed publications, all in common, coherent graphic design
and English language.
Description of e-study platform:
The e-study platform will enable its participants to improve their qualifications
in the never-ending, continuous way while the speed of teaching along with the
specific subject matter will be adjusted and tailored to the listeners' needs
and driven by the learners themselves. Such approach not only influences costs
reduction but motivates the listeners as well, which appears to be the key to
success in the educational process.
The project structure as well as the choice of pedagogical methods for such
study is very little dependent of content-related base. In our project we are
focusing on currently extremely important field: application of ICT /Information
and Communication Technologies/ in the whole economy, taking into consideration
both: e-government and e-business.
To a large degree, the study is to be realised and remote-controlled through
the Internet. An on-line information system in the ASP (Application Service
Provider) mode will be the main part of the final product. The system will respect
the limited access to the Internet (understood as the way of lower speed of
data transmission) by the use of special compression techniques and application
of non-synchronic methods and multimedia on a larger scale.
The e-study will use the educational methodology based on various models and
techniques: stationary, on-line, extramural through correspondence (e-mail),
Direct consultations and through the Internet, Program driven by students (with
the possibility of free teaching trajectory choice), Adjustment of the teaching
speed to the students' abilities, Introduction of the constant curricula audit:
special mechanism evaluating the students', teachers' and experts' work.
As
a result, we receive a complex model that uses the advantages of above mentioned
basic models and techniques. The mechanisms introduced into the system ensure
the exchange of experiences between students and prepare them to group work,
which is extremely important.
